Noite de lua cheia, o açude de Quixadá seco, os peixes morrem, a roda gigante brilha. Suindara, a rasga mortalha grita e na noite seca e fria, rompe um grito afiado. É hora de acordar a dor esquecida de SITYA, a corporeidade d’água, a força do rio interrompida.

A piece created for the Ocupa MIS 2023 exhibition.
A full moon night, the Quixadá reservoir runs dry, the fish die, and the Ferris wheel shines. Suindara, the death screech owl, cries out, and in the dry, cold night, a sharp scream breaks through. It’s time to awaken the forgotten pain of SITYA, the corporeality of water, the interrupted power of the river.
